I choose Advertising integrated marketing and communications as a major because I love the concept of advertising and grabbing people’s attention and tricking them into buying something they could have possibly never bought without seeing the advertisement. There are several psychological principles that can be used to grab people's attention in advertising: Novelty, emotion, relevance,scarcity, and visual appeal.
